Pendle circuit
59 Km

This was the second attempt at this route, the first having been abandoned in torrential rain on 11 July. On this occasion we chose to do the circuit anticlockwise starting and finishing at Brierfield station. This is a rural but steep route through very attractive Pennine scenery the whole area dominated by the 557m "Pendle Hill". Our rapid descent back to Brierfield was not rapid enough since we missed the train by a few minutes. With an hour to wait we decided to keep moving and continued on the Leeds and Liverpool canal to Burnley where we caught the train.
